Frank Hansen is supporting the International Stamp Exhibition IBRA 2028 as a bronze partner. His passion for philately has lasted for over 50 years. Frank Hansen has been collecting stamps since 1971 and was actively involved in philatelic youth work for many years. To this day, he remains active in several philatelic societies: He is a member of the Schleswig Stamp Collectors' Association, a member of the Leipzig Trade Fair Working Group, and treasurer of the Working Group for Postal History and Philately of Schleswig-Holstein, Hamburg, and Lübeck. He also served for many years as a youth group leader in the Rendsburg Stamp Collectors' Association and was active in the Schleswig-Holstein State Association of the German Philatelic Youth (DPHJ SH) in the 1990s. His collecting areas range from the Leipzig Trade Fairs to Konrad Adenauer, Football World Cups, the Federal Republic of Germany, Berlin, the GDR, and even Old Germany – an impressive spectrum that reflects his long-standing passion for philately. Frank Hansen also takes responsibility professionally. As a self-employed auditor, tax advisor, and expert in corporate and wealth succession planning with his own firm ( www.ttp.de ), he has been advising medium-sized companies and families on important business decisions for many years. Frank Hansen lives in Fahrdorf on the Schlei in Schleswig-Holstein. A special highlight of the 78th FIP Congress in Macau was the celebration of the centenary of the Fédération Internationale de Philatélie (FIP). BDPh President Alfred Schmidt and FIP President Dr. Prakob Chirakiti jointly cut the FIP Centenary cake, commemorating a century of international cooperation in the service of philately. The Congress also brought excellent news for German philately: IBRA 2028 in Ulm was granted final FIP Patronage. With this decision, the FIP Congress officially confirmed IBRA 2028 as an FIP World Stamp Exhibition. The international network of IBRA 2028 continues to grow: We are delighted to welcome the first appointed Commissioners from Germany, Australia, Venezuela, Belgium and Switzerland. Their support, experience and international connections are an important step on the road to IBRA 2028 in Ulm. The Commissioners will serve as important contacts for exhibitors and philatelic organizations in their respective countries and help strengthen the international spirit of the exhibition. The organizing team kicks off its 28-month work cycle. A significant milestone has been reached: IBRA 2028 in Ulm will officially be held as an FIP General World Stamp Exhibition under the patronage of the Fédération Internationale de Philatélie (FIP). This means the exhibition will include all competition classes, including the Championship Class. Alfred Schmidt, President of the BDPh (German Philatelic Federation), along with Peter Suhadolc, FIP Consultant, and Frank Blechschmidt, BDPh, signed the Letter of Intent (LOI) for the declaration of patronage.

Following the great success of IBRA 2023 in Essen, the Federation of German Philatelists will once again host an international world stamp exhibition five years later—this time in Ulm, in cooperation with the Association of South-West German Philatelic Societies. Dieter Schaile, Chairman of the South-West Association, who successfully established the International Stamp Fair, is contributing his extensive expertise to the organization of IBRA 2028 and has already begun actively promoting the event at an early stage.
