3. Basic principles of data processing

We process personal data only to the extent necessary for providing this website, answering inquiries, or due to legal obligations.

4. Hosting and website platform (Wix)

This website is provided via the website builder and hosting platform of Wix.com. Wix processes the personal data of our website visitors as a data processor on our behalf (hosting, technical provision, security features, and website functionality).

Wix may store and process data from our website visitors in data centers located in Israel, the EU (e.g., Ireland), and other countries (including the USA, South Korea, and Taiwan).

Further information:

  • Wix Data Processing Agreement (DPA): (see Wix document “Data Processing Agreement”)

  • List of Wix sub-processors

5. Access data / server log files (provisioning & security)

When you access our website, Wix processes data that your browser automatically transmits for technical reasons (so-called server log files / access data). This may include, in particular:

  • IP address (usually technically required),

  • Date and time of access,

  • accessed page/file,

  • amount of data transferred,

  • Status messages/status codes,

  • Browser type/version, operating system, language settings,

  • Reference URL.

The purpose of the processing is the technical provision, stability and security of the website (e.g. protection against misuse/attacks).
The legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR (legitimate interest in secure, stable website operation).
Storage period: Wix stores access data according to its own specifications only as long as necessary for provision, security and error analysis, and then deletes or anonymizes it, unless longer storage is required in individual cases (e.g. security incident).

6. Cookies, consent management and consent log

Our Wix website uses cookies and similar technologies. These may include:

  • technically necessary cookies (e.g. security/anti-fraud functions, basic website functions),

  • as well as – depending on the Wix functions/integrations we have activated – optional cookies (e.g. statistics/marketing).

Technically necessary cookies are set to provide the website.
Optional cookies (e.g. statistics/marketing) are only set after we have given your consent, if we use them at all.

In Germany, prior consent is generally required for setting/reading non-essential cookies (§ 25 TDDDG); an exception applies to technically necessary cookies.

Wix provides a cookie banner and settings for this purpose. Wix also maintains a consent log by default, which may contain information such as IP address, device, and date/time of consent, in order to document consent.

Legal basis:

  • Technically necessary cookies: Section 25 Paragraph 2 TDDDG and Article 6 Paragraph 1 Letter f GDPR

  • Optional cookies (where used): Section 25 Paragraph 1 TDDDG and Article 6 Paragraph 1 Letter a GDPR (consent)

Revocation/change of your consent:
You can change or withdraw your cookie consent at any time via the cookie settings (cookie banner/link).

7. Contact (email / possibly form)

When you contact us by email (or via a contact form that may be provided on the website), we process the data you provide (e.g. name, email address, content of the message) in order to handle your request.

Legal basis:

  • Article 6 paragraph 1 letter b GDPR (pre-contractual/contractual communication), or

  • Article 6 paragraph 1 letter f GDPR (legitimate interest in processing general inquiries).

Storage duration:
We delete contact requests after final processing, but no later than 6 months, unless legal retention obligations (e.g. tax/association law documentation for financially relevant correspondence) or a necessary legal defense require longer storage.

8. Recipients, sub-processors and data transfers to third countries

Recipients of personal data may include, in particular:

  • Wix.com as a hosting/platform service provider (data processor), as well as

  • Sub-processors used by Wix. Wix provides an up-to-date list.

Third-country transfer:
Processing may also take place outside the EU/EEA (e.g., Israel/USA). Israel has an adequacy decision from the EU Commission; for transfers to third countries without an adequacy decision, Wix provides suitable safeguards (in particular, EU standard contractual clauses).

9. Your rights (data subject rights)

Under the GDPR, you have the following rights in particular:

  • Right of access (Art. 15 GDPR)

  • Rectification (Art. 16 GDPR)

  • Erasure (Art. 17 GDPR)

  • Restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)

  • Data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)

  • Objection to processing based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR (Article 21 GDPR)

  • Revocation of consents granted (Art. 7 para. 3 GDPR) with effect for the future.

To exercise your rights, simply send a message to: info@bdph.de
