A special highlight of the 78th FIP Congress in Macau was the celebration of the centenary of the Fédération Internationale de Philatélie (FIP). BDPh President Alfred Schmidt and FIP President Dr. Prakob Chirakiti jointly cut the FIP Centenary cake, commemorating a century of international cooperation in the service of philately.
The Congress also brought excellent news for German philately: IBRA 2028 in Ulm was granted final FIP Patronage. With this decision, the FIP Congress officially confirmed IBRA 2028 as an FIP World Stamp Exhibition. This marks another major milestone on the road to welcoming the international philatelic community to Ulm in 2028.
